Placement of High Availability Geo-Distributed Data Centers in Emerging Economies

The data center markets in emerging economies are being built at a furious pace. When high availability is required, as it always the modern digital economy, placement of geo-distributed centers may be influenced by factors such technician shortage and under-developed infrastructure, both which typical economies. Although subject general has been well studied, remains unclear how rapid unbalanced economic development affect their cost ownership. In this paper, we incorporate infrastructure into placement. problem first formulated mixed integer nonlinear program (MINLP).To solve potentially large scale problem, transform QCQP, capable handling heterogeneous workloads. resulting can then efficiently solved off-the-shelf optimization toolboxes. With real-life China, show centers, analyze tradeoff between availability. Our results indicate that network will lead to increased distinct strategies.
